In 1897, chemist Ernst Sieglin estab­lished a soap powder produc­tion facility on Erkrather Straße. Marketed as “Dr. Thompson’s Soap Powder”, the product became recognizable through its red pack­aging and distinctive white swan emblem.

In 2011, this historic site was trans­formed into a new urban district – defined by striking archi­tec­ture and modern tech­no­logy, evolving from the original brick build­ings and indus­trial halls that shaped its char­acter.

The Schwanenhöfe are located
in Düssel­dorf-Flingern, a lively neigh­bor­hood with a strong creative scene, short distances to the city center, and excel­lent trans­port connec­tions.

The site comprise ten indi­vidual build­ings, each of which previ­ously served different func­tions. Their current names still reflect this heritage, while today the ensemble offers space for a wide variety of uses.

The Bogen­halle offers high, open rooms on the ground floor with a ceiling height of around 4 metres and direct access to a terrace.
